According to the presidential decree signed by the head of state, Orzas Bektenov has been appointed as the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Earlier, when attending a meeting of Kurultai parliamentarians, President Tokayev nominated Bektenov as the Prime Minister of the government.

I nominate Orzas Bektenov as the Prime Minister of the government. He has a high sense of national responsibility, rich experience, outstanding abilities, and a deep understanding of the responsibilities he shoulders. Previously, his work as the Prime Minister of the government was highly effective, "Tokayev said.

Subsequently, Member of Parliament Kurutai reviewed the candidate for Prime Minister proposed by the President and voted on whether to approve the appointment of Bektonov as the Prime Minister of the government.

The voting results showed that 137 members voted in favor and 7 members abstained.

Bektenov stated at the meeting that the government will make every effort to ensure that all tasks are implemented quickly and with high quality.
