On September 3, 2026, Ambassador Zhou Ding attended the Chinese aid to Zimbabwe food distribution event held in the Epworth area of Harare province. More than 2000 people, including the Governor of Harare, Tawengewa, and representatives from local government, communities, and relevant social organizations, participated in the event.

Ambassador Zhou said that China and Zimbabwe stood by and helped each other through thick and thin. From Hurricane Iday and the COVID-19 to the drought caused by the El Nino climate, China has always stood shoulder to shoulder with Zimbabwe to deal with all kinds of difficulties.
