On September 4, 2026, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Türkiye held a telephone conversation with President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates. Erdogan said that Türkiye is actively working to help resolve the tension between Iran and the United States, while promoting the resolution of other similar conflicts and crises in the region.

The two sides of the call exchanged views on bilateral relations as well as regional and global situations.Erdogan said that Türkiye will continue to pursue peace oriented diplomatic initiatives, and stressed that Türkiye will not condone attacks against friendly countries in the region.Editor/Min Jing
