Zankore, an AI platform headquartered in Indonesia, has received the largest AI infrastructure special syndicated loan in the Asia Pacific region to date, with a total amount of $3.1 billion, which will support the construction of up to 1 gigawatt of AI computing power clusters in the area. In 2026, the newly installed AI computing power in Southeast Asia surged by 142% year-on-year. Indonesia is using this benchmark financing to directly raise the competition threshold for regional AI infrastructure by several orders of magnitude.

Five major international banks jointly underwrite financing

This syndicated loan is jointly led by Citibank, Dutch International Group, Societe Generale, Qatar National Bank Group, and Dahua Bank as the lead arranger and bookrunner. It is the first AI computing power special syndicated loan of this scale in the Asia Pacific region.

Zankore was jointly initiated and established in August 2026 by Indonesia Telecom, Ooredoo Group, Nvidia, and Nokia. The project will build a computing power cluster based on Nvidia's DSX architecture. The first 100 MW of computing power will be prioritized for opening cloud services to Southeast Asian AI startups and research institutions. The initial computing power scale to be delivered in the first half of 2027 will reach 200 MW.

Accelerate the construction of Southeast Asian computing hub

According to the latest statistics from a third-party organization, the market size of AI computing power in Southeast Asia is expected to exceed 4.7 billion US dollars by 2026, with a compound annual growth rate of over 38%. The supply-demand gap for computing power in the region has widened to 320 megawatts. This $3.1 billion financing will be entirely used for the procurement and deployment of NVIDIA GPU computing facilities, matching customers' actual needs through a revenue sharing model, and promoting Indonesia's transformation from a digital consumer market to a regional AI computing hub.
