As of September 1, 2026, the Long Power to Shandong Project has transmitted over 30 billion kilowatt hours of electricity to Shandong this year, reaching 30.01 billion kilowatt hours, with a cumulative transmission of 47.68 billion kilowatt hours.
The Longdian to Shandong Project is the first integrated wind solar thermal storage comprehensive energy transmission project in China, with a designed annual transmission capacity of over 36 billion kilowatt hours, which can meet the annual electricity consumption of more than 10 million households. More than half of them are pure green electricity such as wind energy, photovoltaics, and energy storage.

In the summer of 2026, the electricity load in Shandong will continue to rise, with the highest exceeding 130 million kilowatts. State Grid Gansu Electric Power and State Grid Shandong Electric Power have strengthened cross provincial coordination and linkage, promoting the full power operation of the Long Power to Shandong Project for 73 days during the peak summer season, with the highest daily power transmission exceeding 190 million kilowatt hours. Since its commissioning on May 8, 2025, the Longdian into Shandong project has provided solid power support for cross regional energy optimization and high-quality development of Gansu and Shandong.Editor/Gong Ziwei
