Shanghai Four Highway Projects Win Bids to Upgrade Regional Transport

Recently, the four major highway projects in Baoshan, Qingpu, Jinshan, and Changxing Island in Shanghai have completed bidding and tendering. The project covers road construction, old road reconstruction, bridge renovation, and supporting facility construction. After implementation, it will fill the gaps in regional transportation, optimize the layout of the city's road network, and help promote the integrated development of urban and rural areas.

Baoshan Avenue Renewal and Expansion

The Baoshan Jiangyangbei Road Function Enhancement Project is located in Yangxing Town, with a total length of 1.82 kilometers. It connects to the ramp in front of Baoshan Station, including elevated roads, ramps, and ground roads, as well as supporting bridge and culvert, drainage, traffic safety, greening and other projects. The maximum length of the bridge is 1349 meters and the maximum span is 60 meters. The total investment of the project is 741.42 million yuan, the construction and installation cost of the section is 403.55 million yuan, and the construction period is 783 calendar days. Shanghai Urban Construction and Municipal Engineering (Group) Co., Ltd. won the bid with 360.27 million yuan, while Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Co., Ltd. ranked second with 368.2 million yuan. The project will effectively improve the three-dimensional transportation network in the northern part of Baoshan.

Qingpu Road Network Connection and Efficiency Enhancement

The new Qingpu Avenue project is located in Zhujiajiao Town, with a total length of 1320 meters. It is a second-class highway, with supporting roads, bridges, pipe networks, lighting, greening and traffic facilities. It is an important channel connecting Huqingping Highway and G50 Shanghai Chongqing Expressway. The project was won by Shanghai Urban Construction and Municipal Engineering (Group) Co., Ltd. with a bid of 134.38 million yuan, and Shanghai Highway and Bridge (Group) Co., Ltd. ranked second with a bid of 143.36 million yuan. After completion, it can effectively improve regional traffic efficiency.

Jinshan Waterway and Road Upgrade Together

The total length of the new reconstruction project of Jinshan Rongwei Highway is 5.33km, which is a second-class highway. The red line is 40m wide, with two-way 6-fast and 2-slow lanes. It is constructed in two bid sections, supporting traffic, greening, drainage and other facilities simultaneously.

Section 1 is responsible for widening the road section and rebuilding 9 bridges and 1 culvert. The maximum single span of the Shenhai Expressway overpass is 79 meters. Shanghai Jinshan Highway Construction Co., Ltd. won the bid with a price of 281.98 million yuan, while Shanghai Baoshan Highway Engineering Construction Co., Ltd. ranked second with a price of 282.28 million yuan.

Section 2 is responsible for building new road sections, 5 bridges, and 1 box culvert. Shanghai Jinshan Municipal Engineering Co., Ltd. won the bid with a price of 160.8 million yuan, while Shanghai Baoshan Highway Engineering Construction Co., Ltd. ranked second with a price of 160.3 million yuan. The project will greatly optimize the north-south transportation corridor of Jinshan.

Improvement of supporting facilities on Changxing Island

The new construction project of Juxiang Road on Changxing Island has a total length of 1255.4 meters and is a secondary urban road. Two bridges and four pipe culverts will be built, along with supporting facilities such as rain and sewage, lighting, greening, poles, and transportation, to fill the gaps in the island's municipal transportation. The project bridge adopts a prestressed rigid connection hollow slab beam structure, and special pipes are used for construction, with supporting rainwater interception facilities, taking into account both traffic capacity and ecological environmental standards. Shanghai Construction Engineering Group Co., Ltd. won the bid with a price of 104.46 million yuan, while Shanghai Highway and Bridge (Group) Co., Ltd. ranked second with a price of 105.34 million yuan. The project will improve the road network and supporting facilities of Changxing Island. The four major highway projects this time cover multiple areas of Shanghai, with a combination of new and old projects.
