On September 18, 2026, the signing ceremony for China's aid to the power upgrading project in the Dabanzhuer region of the capital city of Ganges was held at the Ganges Ministry of Energy. Ambassador Liu Jin and Minister of Energy of Gang, Nani Juwala, attended the event. Gangguo Hydropower Company signed a project contract with China Special Electric Power Company.

Ambassador Liu stated that the project is an implementation of the consensus measures of the two heads of state, a result of the continuous deepening of mutual trust between the two sides, and a reflection of the constantly enriching connotation of the strategic partnership between the two countries. At the starting point of the new decade of China Hong Kong relations, this project is timely and will undoubtedly contribute to the development of the power industry in Hong Kong and benefit the local people.

Minister Zhu Huala, on behalf of the Gang government, thanks the Chinese government and people for their help. It is stated that universal access to electricity is a key national development strategy, and the project will effectively alleviate the pressure of power distribution, benefiting more than 80000 residents, which is of great significance.
