On September 18, 2026, our embassy's Shi Yuanqiang attended the "Diplomatic Focus" magazine's celebration of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan and the promotion of the "2.0 upgraded version" construction of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor. Pakistan's Vice Chairman of the Senate Nasser, former Ambassador to China, representatives from various sectors such as think tanks, media, education, and business, as well as ambassadors from multiple countries to Pakistan, attended.

Shi Yuanqiang said that as an important part of the joint construction of the "the Belt and Road", the China Pakistan Economic Corridor has achieved fruitful results and entered a new stage of high-quality development. China is willing to work with Pakistan to accelerate the construction of the "2.0 upgraded version" of the corridor, guided by the important consensus of the leaders of the two countries, and jointly build a closer China Pakistan community of shared future in the new era, better benefiting the people of the two countries.

The Pakistani guests deeply reviewed the profound friendship between Pakistan and China since the establishment of diplomatic relations 75 years ago, highly appreciated the effective promotion of Pakistan's economic development and industrial transformation through the construction of the corridor, and will jointly promote the stable and far-reaching construction of the "2.0 upgraded version" of the corridor, helping Pakistan China relations reach a new level.
