On September 21, 2026, Ambassador to Ukraine Ma Shengkun shared the win-win story between China and the global South with the world through an article published by the Ukrainian International News Agency and The Economist. Currently, the population of the global South accounts for 70% of the world's total, with an economic output of over 40% and a contribution rate of 80% to world economic growth. As the most sincere and reliable companion, China has provided support to southern countries through its own practice. Since the reform and opening up, more than 800 million people have been lifted out of poverty, contributing over 70% to global poverty reduction. By 2025, China's import and export of goods will reach 45.47 trillion yuan, with imports reaching a historic high of 18.48 trillion yuan. Starting from May 2026, zero tariffs will be fully implemented on 53 African countries that have established diplomatic relations with China.

China's cooperation is not a zero sum game, but a mutual achievement and joint empowerment. The so-called "ladder squeezing" theory cannot withstand the test of facts.
