When the last sunset of the Fergana Basin sinks into the remnants of the Tianshan Mountains, the command center in Tashkent remains brightly lit. Faced with the dual waves of economic takeoff and population growth, an energy game that concerns the lifeline of the country is quietly coming to an end.

Recently, Uzbekistan's President Mirziyoyev listened to a report on power development and energy reform, discussing topics such as energy demand, power station construction, grid expansion, energy storage, and project investment mechanisms.
Anticipate the pressure of energy growth
In recent years, Ukraine has continued to increase energy investment, introduce social and overseas capital, build new power stations, develop new energy, and upgrade the power grid. At present, the total installed capacity of wind and solar power exceeds 6.3 million kilowatts, and there are over 100 hydropower stations with an installed capacity of nearly 2.5 million kilowatts. The development of new energy reduces natural gas consumption. Economic and population growth will drive up energy demand. Wu predicts that by 2030, the GDP will reach 300 billion US dollars, the population will exceed 41 million, industrial electricity consumption will increase significantly, and electric transportation and data centers will increase their electricity load. The plan is to have a total installed capacity of 46.1 million kilowatts by 2030 and increase it to 57.2 million kilowatts by 2035.

Accelerate the layout of energy infrastructure
Accelerate the construction of wind and solar projects in Ukraine, and provide supporting energy storage facilities. There are currently 26 energy storage projects totaling 4.2 million kilowatts, with 17 being implemented. At the same time, we will promote the construction of the power grid, build multiple high-voltage substations and nearly 5000 kilometers of transmission lines by 2030, and strengthen regional energy interconnection. Ukraine is promoting the integration of energy infrastructure with the digital economy, relying on the wind energy resources of Karakalpakstan to provide power facilities for million kilowatt level data centers and attract investment from high-tech industries. Improve the long-term energy mechanism
Reform the investment management mode of energy projects in Ukraine. The old mechanism is prone to project lag and planning disconnection. The new plan first assesses energy demand, implements land and grid connection conditions, and publicly selects investors. The three-year investment plan is updated annually. In terms of long-term planning, Ukraine plans to develop an energy security plan until 2050, which will coordinate resources, economy, new energy, nuclear energy, and energy security, and be revised every five years. Mirziyoyev emphasized that energy projects should take into account long-term development and maintain a balance between power generation, transmission, and consumption. The meeting requires ensuring the commencement of major projects, supervising the rectification of lagging projects, coordinating the coordinated development of power supply, power grid, and energy storage, and implementing new energy management models.Editor/Gong Ziwei
