When the flag of China Harbor rises at the same time in the water supply plant, logistics park, oil and gas terminal and port berth, the small and beautiful people's livelihood project on this hot land is quietly weaving a trust bond between China and Kuwait to jointly build the the Belt and Road. China Harbour has achieved sustained results in localized operations in West Africa. In September 2026, China Harbour will undertake four projects in Cote d'Ivoire, covering four major areas: water supply for people's livelihoods, logistics platform improvement, FSRU oil and gas terminal survey, and port restoration.

Diversified layout

The Nyakkala and Canavolo water supply projects are located in the central northern part of Cote d'Ivoire and are key livelihood water projects in the area, with loans provided by the World Bank. The project will upgrade the water intake facilities, lay the main pipeline network, construct new water treatment plants, and provide supporting urban and rural water supply pipelines. After completion, the water supply network will be improved to ensure the safety of residents' drinking water. The logistics platform renovation project in Portebue district is located in Abidjan and includes the construction of roadbed, pavement, drainage, and traffic markings. The area will be transformed into a warehousing and logistics park, and upon completion, the park's traffic and drainage capabilities will be enhanced. The project was successfully won based on the good performance reputation accumulated by the AKWABA turntable project.

The FSRU berthing dock survey project is located in Abidjan, conducting survey and mapping of supporting facilities for floating liquefied natural gas re gasification units. This is the first time that China Harbour has entered the oil and gas infrastructure field in Cote d'Ivoire, extending its business from traditional port water engineering to energy infrastructure. The restoration project of Pier 1 in San Pedro Port will involve rebuilding damaged breast walls, repairing concrete defects, treating underwater components, replacing fenders and bollards, and restoring the structural safety and operational functions of the pier.

Benchmark project

The winning of the four projects is rooted in the brand trust established by China Harbour after years of deep cultivation in Cote d'Ivoire. The AKWABA turntable renovation project is a benchmark municipal engineering project in the local area, located at the intersection of multiple main roads in Abidjan. The main line is about 1.5 kilometers long, covering turntable renovation, pipeline relocation, and traffic safety facility construction. After the renovation, the daily average traffic volume exceeded 170000 vehicles, benefiting more than 500000 residents in the surrounding area. The project will be opened to traffic in March 2025 and obtain the completion certificate in August 2026, which has been highly recognized by the Ivorian government. Winning four consecutive bids this time is a market achievement brought about by the reputation of benchmark projects.
