In the misty rain of Java Island, silver bullet trains whizzed past, compressing the distance between cities to the time of a cup of coffee. This Southeast Asia's first high-speed railway, which has been operating safely for three years, has quietly rewritten the way Indonesians travel, and has also rooted China's high-speed railway standards in the country of Qiandao.

Continuous expansion and improvement of transportation capacity

On October 17, 2026, the Yawan high-speed railway will be open for three years. Over the past three years, a total of 58666 high-speed trains have been operated, with over 18 million passengers transported and over 8.9 million kilometers safely traveled, resulting in a punctuality rate of 99.4%. Chinese and Indonesian railway companies closely collaborate, with safety operation as the core, to continuously optimize transportation organization and upgrade services, integrating high-speed rail into local life.

The total length of the line is 142.3 kilometers, with a speed of 350 kilometers per hour, and the travel time between the two places is compressed to 46 minutes. The operator adjusted the operating schedule based on passenger flow, increasing the daily number of trains from 14 to 62 during peak hours, with a maximum daily passenger flow of 26770. The transportation volume during Eid al Fitr increased by over 10% year-on-year, making it a busy mainline in Indonesia.

Continuous optimization of passenger transportation services

The operator has launched diversified ticketing services such as floating ticket prices, frequent flyer cards, and rescheduling. A total of 47577 frequent flyer cards have been sold, reaching a monthly high in July 2026. The station and train are equipped with a complete set of accessible facilities, serving over 25000 key passengers in total. The overall customer satisfaction rate reached 95.79%.
