A large photovoltaic base serving the interconnection of electricity between China and Laos is steadily advancing in Namo County, Oudomxay Province, Laos, surrounded by mountains. As the third large-scale clean energy project of Datang in Laos, the Namo 500MW photovoltaic project carries the important mission of water solar complementarity and cross-border power transmission. With the successful bidding of the inverter, the core power conversion equipment supply link of the project has taken a crucial step, laying a solid equipment foundation for subsequent on-site construction and grid connected production.
The dust of winning bid information has settled
On October 20, 2026, Datang e-commerce platform announced the winning result of the inverter for Laos Namo 500MW photovoltaic power generation project. Zhuzhou Converter Technology National Engineering Research Center Co., Ltd. became the winning bidder, with the winning amount of 41950000 yuan. This bidding is initiated by China Datang Corporation Overseas Investment Co., Ltd., and the ultimate user of the project is the EPC general contractor of this project.

The project's supporting inverter is suitable for a DC side installed capacity of 630.37MW, using string type models of 300kW and above, which meets the complex working conditions of mountain photovoltaics and the stable operation requirements of cross-border power grids.
The supply scope covers the entire chain
The winning supplier is required to undertake the full cycle service work of the equipment, including equipment design, manufacturing, factory testing, packaging, transportation, on-site delivery, unpacking inspection, installation guidance, commissioning, trial operation, sampling inspection, quality assurance, maintenance, technical service data docking, green and low-carbon related cooperation, etc.
The complete supply list covers the inverter body accessories, spare parts, anti PID module communication equipment and other supporting facilities, ensuring the long-term stable operation of the power station, adapting to the high temperature and high humidity mountainous environment in northern Laos, supporting the completion of the project to fill the local dry season hydropower output gap, and creating a stable cross-border green power supply node.

Clear and precise delivery schedule
The delivery location of the project is located at the project site in Namo County, Oudomxay Province, Laos. The vehicle delivery mode is implemented, and the unloading work is the responsibility of the EPC contractor. The supplier cooperates to complete the relevant handover matters. The supply schedule has strict time requirements. The seller shall meet the first batch of delivery conditions within 30 days after receiving the purchase order or written notice from the buyer. All inverters shall be delivered within 3 months from the effective date of the purchase order, and shall be shipped in an orderly manner according to the agreed batch to ensure the continuous progress of on-site construction.
