Sharjah is accelerating efforts to address the shortcomings of its sewage infrastructure, and the Hamria region is facing an opportunity to build a new sewage treatment plant. A consortium composed of American water purification technology companies and BHT has been successfully selected to undertake the project, which also allows Chinese environmental protection companies to once again compete in the local water industry.

New factory landing

This project adopts the EPC general contracting mode, covering the entire process of engineering procurement and construction. After completion, it will improve the sewage treatment system in Sharjah, enhance the level of regional environmental sanitation services, coordinate urban and industrial sewage treatment, and provide a foundation for the long-term sustainable development of the local area. At present, the project owner's ability to handle contract amounts and the start and completion time of the project have not been disclosed to the public. Keywords: Overseas Water, Sewage EPC

BHT relies on local teams to provide technical delivery equipment supply project construction and operation and maintenance support services simultaneously. Previously, the company has won the upgrade and renovation project of the first phase of the Sharjah Karba sewage treatment plant, and the regional project reserve continues to be abundant. The expansion of local cities and industries will also drive the demand for upstream and downstream procurement of pump valve membrane systems, electrical automation, civil engineering, etc., releasing opportunities in the industrial chain. Before the detailed contract parameters are disclosed, the overall investment scale and industrial driving effect of the project still need to be continuously tracked and evaluated.Editor/Min Jing
