On the afternoon of October 27, 2026, in Bangkok, Thailand, more than 100 Chinese Thai guests from Thai government agencies, business associations, leading enterprises, and Sino Thai investment institutions gathered at the China Sichuan Thailand Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange Conference. This event is hosted by the Sichuan Provincial Economic Cooperation Bureau, bringing together various forces from government, enterprise, and business associations to build a practical cooperation platform for two-way investment, trade expansion, and industrial synergy between Sichuan and Thailand. Government and enterprises discuss industrial synergy together

At the meeting, Wu Xiaoxi, Director of the Economic Cooperation Bureau of Sichuan Province, Ma Yongyou, First Secretary of the Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, Pongsuti Susili, Director of the Commerce Bureau of Nuanburi Province, Thailand, and Li Guixiong, Acting Chairman of the Thai Chinese Chamber of Commerce, attended and delivered speeches. Wu Xiaoxi promotes Sichuan's industrial foundation and investment opportunities to the Thai political and business circles, hoping that both sides can jointly build a complementary and symbiotic industrial ecology, and promote the two-way flow of factors; Joining hands to deepen cooperation in the green field and empower Thailand's green transformation; Deeply tap into the potential of cultural and tourism industries, and promote economic and trade cooperation through people to people exchanges. Tiansi Group shared its operational experience of investing in beverage production bases in Sichuan. Sichuan Airlines focused on promoting the Chengdu Bangkok route network and aviation cultural and tourism products. Changhong Holdings expressed its intention to deepen local cooperation in Thailand around the smart home appliances and electronic information industries. A batch of projects are signed in a centralized manner

A signing ceremony was held at the event site, and a number of projects, such as the memorandum of cooperation between Sichuan Airlines and Thailand Tourism Administration, the trade procurement project of Dujiangyan Irrigation Project Chaoyue Machinery Manufacturing and Thailand Juheng Enterprise Group, the procurement project of Chengdu Yuefan Innovative Technology and Thailand Vanguard STRATEGIC Ventures' distribution robot, were implemented. The contracted projects cover areas such as aviation, culture and tourism, equipment manufacturing, and artificial intelligence distribution robots. They involve both trade procurement and technological cooperation, reflecting the trend of Sichuan Thailand industrial synergy extending from traditional trade to high value-added fields. Among them, the memorandum of cooperation between Sichuan Airlines and Thailand Tourism Administration will focus on route promotion, tourism product development and passenger exchange. The trade procurement project of Dujiangyan Irrigation Project Chaoyue Machinery Co., Ltd. involves the batch export of machinery manufacturing products. The innovative distribution robot procurement project of Chengdu Yuefan marks the entry of Sichuan AI products into the Thai market. Relying on the new land and sea channel in the west and the cold chain train of China Laos railway, Sichuan Thailand trade continues to heat up. By 2025, the total import and export volume between the two regions will reach 41.9 billion yuan, and as of September 2026, Thailand has established a total of 137 foreign-invested enterprise institutions in Sichuan. Zhengda Group and Tiansi Group continue to strengthen their layout in Sichuan. Sichuan Airlines, Changhong and other Sichuan enterprises are also actively based in Thailand and radiating to the ASEAN market.
