On November 4, 2026, Asia Pacific's leading data center operator, Pupin Data Group, announced the completion of approximately $1.3 billion in green financing, all of which will be used for the continued development and expansion of the JH1 campus in Johor, Malaysia.
1.3 billion US dollars of green financing landed in Johor's computing power park
This financing is an important component of PDG's $5 billion Asia Pacific debt financing plan announced in March 2026, and all funds will be used to support the delivery of the contracted computing capacity of the park. Six cooperative banks jointly participated in underwriting, covering mainstream financial institutions in Southeast Asia and around the world. The project financing scale set a new record for single green financing in the data center field in Johor.

The financing promotion pace of JH1 Park is clear and coherent. The first batch of three bank financing will be completed in April 2024, and four new banks will be added to expand the financing scale in October 2025. This is a new round of large-scale expansion based on the previous stage, further consolidating the long-term funding guarantee capability of the project. The financing process is established in accordance with the PDG green finance framework, fully matching the funding standards of international green infrastructure.
Southeast Asia's AI computing infrastructure accelerates expansion
JH1 Park is located in the Stennak Technology Park, with a total planned capacity of 200 megawatts. It has been designed from the design stage to accommodate high-density AI and cloud computing business loads. The project has obtained the Malaysia Green Building Index GBI Gold Design Certification and LEED Gold Operation Certification, and its energy efficiency performance meets the world's top green data center standards. The investors behind PDG include Huaping Investment Group in the United States, Ontario Teachers' Retirement Fund in Canada, Mubadala Investment Company, and Stonepeak. The company's total project portfolio in 8 countries in the Asia Pacific region has exceeded 1.8 gigawatts. After the implementation of this large-scale financing, the construction progress of JH1 Park will be further accelerated, and Johor's industrial positioning as an emerging computing hub in Southeast Asia will continue to strengthen, providing more sufficient AI computing infrastructure support for large-scale cloud vendors in the region.Editor/Cheng Liting
