In the evening of November 3, 2026, a China Europe train full of mechanical equipment, auto parts and electronic products will slowly leave Khorgos Railway Port and move towards Lodz, Poland, more than 6000 kilometers away. This train will also enable the traffic volume of China Europe Asia trains at Khorgos Port to officially cross the 8000 train mark.

Single trip capacity efficiency increased by 10%

In the past, many China Europe freight trains were limited by grouping, and the single load capacity was always stuck at 2500 tons. This year, the Xinjiang railway department has completed the full chain tapping and efficiency improvement, directly increasing the maximum number of cars in the China Europe freight train from 50 to 55, and the single load weight has exceeded 3000 tons, which is equivalent to the amount of goods transported by the past 10 trains for every 100 trains, directly increasing the channel utilization efficiency by 10%.

With the implementation of the railway express mode and the 95306 digital port system, all customs clearance procedures that used to require manual circulation through multiple windows were completed online, significantly reducing the waiting time for trains at the port. As of November 3, 2026, 15775 China Eurasian trains have passed through Alashankou and Khorgos, and the cargo volume at the ports has reached 32.074 million tons. Bidirectional channel no longer goes back empty

Previously, many trains had to return empty after completing outbound transportation, resulting in a significant waste of wide gauge transport capacity. The Xinjiang railway department has launched a new transportation mode of wide gauge re entry and standard gauge re entry through the China Kazakhstan railway meeting, fully utilizing the originally empty wide gauge carriages, directly opening up the transportation space for return goods, and synchronously increasing the two-way traffic volume at ports.
