Dazhou West Ring Expressway Project is one of the 18 prefecture-level cities around the city in Sichuan. It is a fast link between the development groups in Dazhou urban area, with a total length of 38.252 kilometers and a estimated investment of 7.478 billion yuan. It is implemented in BOT mode, with a construction period of 4 years.

The bridge and tunnel ratio of the project is 53.96%, consisting of main line and branch line. The main line is in north-south direction, starting from Anyun Township, Tongchuan District, Dazhou City and ending at Ganzi Town, Dachuan District, with a total length of 31.981 kilometers, two-way four-lane, and a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour; The west outer branch line is in east-west direction and starts near the main line Dayan Town. It is connected to the planned urban road Jinnan Avenue West Extension after crossing with a tunnel. The total length is 6.271 kilometers, with two-way six-lane, and the design speed is 80 kilometers per hour.

The key and difficult control projects of the whole line of Dazhou West Ring Expressway mainly include two tunnels and two interchanges, including Tieshan extra-long gas tunnel and Xianpoting separated tunnel; The two interchanges include the single-ring deformed clover leaf landing interchange of Anyun hub and the double-T combined landing interchange of Dayan hub.

Since the formal commencement of the control project in September 2022, the project has invested more than 1 billion yuan, accounting for 14% of the total investment.

After the completion of the project, the Dazhou round-the-west expressway will help to improve the expressway network in Sichuan Province.
