The 2×1000MW thermal power unit project in Lanzhou, Gansu Province is located in the northeast of Lanzhou New Area, specifically located in the new material industrial park in Qinchuan Town, which is about 60 kilometers away from the center of Lanzhou in the south, about 14 kilometers away from Qinchuan Town in the northwest, and about 35 kilometers away from Baiyin City in the southeast.

The project aims to build an ambitious energy production base, with a total planned capacity of four 1,000 MW generating units, but at this stage, two high-efficiency ultra-supercritical coal-fired air-cooled generating units, each with a capacity of 1,000 MW, will be built.

In order to ensure environmental protection standards, the project will be accompanied by the construction of advanced desulfurization and denitrification facilities to minimize the impact on the environment. During operation, the plant is expected to consume about 4.5 million tonnes of coal annually and consume 2.5 million cubic metres of water annually. However, its energy conversion efficiency is extremely high, and it is expected to provide a stable transmission of about 9 billion kWh of clean electricity to the grid every year, providing strong support for the power supply of the region and the wider region.Editor/Jiang Mingyue
