Since the beginning of this year, the Transportation Bureau of Xilingol League has anchored the goal of building an important ecological security barrier in northern China, and made every effort to promote the construction of road desertification control projects and highway construction, painting a magnificent picture of the coordinated progress of ecological governance and economic development.

Up to now, the construction achievements of the road desertification control project have been remarkable. Among the 32 projects, 28 sand crossing highway projects have started construction, with a total length of 459.3 kilometers; The remaining four projects with a total length of 53 kilometers have also issued bidding notices and are about to start construction. These 32 projects have a total investment of 480 million yuan and are expected to drive the desertification control of 820000 acres after completion, injecting strong impetus into improving the regional ecological environment.

To ensure the smooth progress of the project, the Transportation Bureau of Xilingol League has taken multiple measures to strengthen the guarantee of key factors. On the one hand, providing stable policy support and financial guarantees to build a solid foundation for project construction; On the other hand, we will coordinate the layout and functions of the road network, actively apply for the implementation of a batch of sand crossing hardened roads, sand crossing connected networks, and sand crossing industrial roads in rural and pastoral areas with larger population scale natural villages. Accumulatively striving for 1845 kilometers of road desertification control projects in the autonomous region, with an investment scale of 2.96 billion yuan, the plan is to drive the desertification control of 4.09 million acres by 2030, benefiting 10 counties and cities in the entire league, and achieving the organic unity of ecological and livelihood benefits.

Collaboration among departments is crucial in the process of project advancement. The bureau has established a coordination and linkage mechanism with departments such as the Development and Reform Commission, Forestry and Grassland, and Natural Resources. Through innovative measures such as synchronous promotion and parallel approval, the processing time for pre project procedures has been significantly reduced, ensuring that the pre project work is accelerated and not deviated from the norm, and buying valuable time for the early start of the project.

It is worth mentioning that the Transportation Bureau of Xilingol League will also cleverly apply the work for relief model to the construction of the "road desertification control" project.
