On May 30, 2026, the 2026 Equipment Power Forum officially kicked off in Beijing. The core theme of this forum is to solidly promote new industrialization and accelerate the construction of a strong equipment country. It is jointly hosted by the China Machinery Industry Federation and the Equipment Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and organized by the Industrial and Information Technology Equipment Engineering Research Institute (Beijing) Co., Ltd.

Various sectors gather to form authoritative lineups

Officials from relevant departments and bureaus of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, several authoritative experts and academicians in the industry, as well as heads of industry and information technology departments, industry associations, key enterprises, and representatives from universities and research institutes from more than 30 provinces, regions, and municipalities across the country attended the forum, covering multiple fields including government, industry, academia, and research. The opening ceremony and main forum of the forum were presided over by Liu Xinyan, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Equipment Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

At the forum, multiple leaders and industry experts shared their views and conducted discussions on core areas such as the 15th Five Year Plan, new generation intelligent manufacturing, lithium battery industry, high-end equipment manufacturing, and automotive industry, providing suggestions and consolidating ideas for the high-quality development of China's domestic equipment industry. At the same time, the Equipment Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released five industry heavyweight research results at the forum, covering multiple fields such as high-end equipment, automotive industry, power batteries, and unmanned aerial vehicle industry. It also officially launched the AutoREGAgent intelligent monitoring and analysis platform for automotive policies and regulations, providing data and technical support for industry development.

The forum also held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony, and the Equipment Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology successively reached strategic cooperation with China Industry and Information Technology Publishing and Media Group Co., Ltd. and China (Mianyang) Science and Technology City, to help integrate industry resources and promote coordinated development.
