On July 6, 2026, the construction of the He Rui Energy Storage Grid Side Energy Storage Project located in Heshan City, Jiangmen officially began. This project, undertaken by China Construction Third Engineering Bureau South China Guangzhou Branch, was selected as a key construction project for Guangdong Province in 2026 and a key construction project for Heshan City in the 15th Five Year Plan period. It was included in the core list of regional energy infrastructure upgrades from the project initiation stage.
The project is located in Heshan, adjacent to the core load center of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, and multiple new energy power generation bases have been laid out in the surrounding area. Previously, the regional power grid's peak shaving capacity could not keep up with the growth rate of new energy grid integration for a long time, and this project has just filled the key gap.
250MW scale sprint to achieve full capacity grid connection within the year
The total area of the project is about 50 acres, with a planned energy storage capacity of 250MW/500MWh. The construction pace is significantly faster than that of energy storage power stations of the same level, and it is planned to achieve full capacity grid connection and operation by the end of October this year.


From the start of construction to full capacity grid connection, it only took less than 4 months, and this construction speed is in the first tier among independent energy storage projects of the same scale in the domestic power grid. It also reflects the urgency and implementation efficiency of Guangdong's current promotion of new energy storage landing.
Upgrading the level of regional energy security assurance
