TBEA Completes Power Projects in Timor-Leste to Boost Local Infrastructure

Recently, the capital city of Timor Leste, Dili, has undergone a new upgrade in its power infrastructure, effectively addressing the long-standing power grid shortcomings in the area. A grand project launch ceremony was successfully held, with national level politicians, Chinese representatives abroad, and construction companies gathering on site to witness the official commissioning of three high-quality power projects, injecting new momentum into local energy development. The official of Timor Leste also specially awarded honorary certificates to the construction team to recognize their infrastructure contributions.

On July 1st, three power projects, including the Comoros substation in East Timor, a 150 kV supporting transmission line, and a buried cable in Dili, constructed by TBEA, were officially put into operation. The Prime Minister of Timor Leste, Xanana Gusm ã o, the head of the National Electricity Company of Timor Leste, the Chinese Ambassador to Timor Leste, Wang Wenli, and the project team of TBEA jointly witnessed the event. The organizer presented an honorary certificate to the TBEA team in recognition of their outstanding contributions in the construction of local power infrastructure. The on-site guests jointly cut the ribbon and signed to commemorate the occasion. The Premier inspected the operation status of the equipment on site and expressed his beautiful expectations for the development of the project that benefits the people.

At the ceremony, all parties highly praised the value of the project. The Prime Minister of Timor Leste fully recognizes the strategic significance of the project, acknowledges the cooperation strength of TBEA, and looks forward to continuing to deepen cooperation between Chinese enterprises in energy infrastructure. The Chinese ambassador said that the project is a living practice of the Belt and Road cooperation, and encourages enterprises to continue to use high-quality technology to help local power green and intelligent upgrading. The East Timor Power Company praised the project for filling the gaps in the urban power grid, recognized the engineering quality and performance ability of the enterprise, and expressed a long-term willingness to cooperate. The operation of these three power projects has greatly improved the backup guarantee system of the Dili power grid, significantly enhancing the stability and quality of local power supply, and comprehensively covering various electricity scenarios such as people's livelihood, public services, commerce, and industry.
