On the vast land of Cambodia, electricity is like flowing blood, maintaining the pulse of national economy and people's livelihood. However, how to quickly revive the dormant power grid in the event of a sudden malfunction leading to a complete system power outage? Recently, the GS12 energy storage power station, constructed by Zhongtian Technology Group under the EPC general contracting model, has delivered a stunning performance. This is not just a technical validation, but more like a carefully planned 'power grid recovery surgery'. Under extreme conditions without external power support, the project team pressed the restart button and successfully awakened the dormant regional power grid.

Lonely Net Reborn Shows Skills

At the experimental site, the atmosphere was tense yet orderly. With the issuance of instructions, the GS12 energy storage power station began to attempt independent power supply to the regional power grid as a starting power source. Unlike conventional power sources, grid based energy storage has the ability to actively construct voltage and frequency. The project team utilized this feature to successfully complete multiple impulse power transmissions of 100MVA large capacity main transformers. A powerful current surged out along the 182.8 kilometer 230kV high-voltage line, like a neural signal, quickly penetrating and activating four 230kV substations along the line. In a completely isolated grid state, the system stably supported an actual electricity load of over 55MW, proving its reliability as a stabilizer for the power grid.

Multi source collaborative resilience

If isolated network operation is individual combat, then multi power collaboration is system confrontation. In the experiment, the energy storage power station not only became self-sufficient, but also served as the "starter engine" for the regional power supply. It successfully drove the Kamchay hydropower station to start and connect to the grid smoothly, and then completed the start-up and synchronous grid connection verification of the CIIDG coal-fired power plant units. This series of actions simulates the real recovery scenario after a power grid collapse, fully testing the adaptability of grid type energy storage in complex environments. The Cambodian National Electricity Company highly praised this project, believing that it greatly enhances the resilience and stability of the local power grid, providing strong technical support for responding to emergencies.keywords:New energy latest reports

Overseas benchmark tree model

The success of the GS12 project marks that Cambodia's first grid connected energy storage power station has officially met the conditions for full operation. This is not only the completion of a project, but also establishes a replicable and promotable full process template for the large-scale application of energy storage in Cambodia in the future. From system integration to engineering general contracting, and then to international project delivery, Zhongtian Technology has further consolidated its competitive advantage in the overseas power and energy storage market through this battle. Looking towards the future, with the acceleration of global energy green and low-carbon transformation, this mature "Zhongtian Plan" will continue to support the high-quality development of new power systems in Cambodia and even globally, making clean electricity safer and more stable to illuminate thousands of households.Editor/Yang Meiling
