The layout of the domestic computing industry continues to accelerate. Against the backdrop of major operators increasing their efforts in computing infrastructure and promoting standardized token supply, the construction of the new intelligent computing project in Wuhu has officially begun. Relying on the technological and resource advantages of central enterprises, the project will fill the gap in regional computing power and help promote the coordinated development of digital industries in the Yangtze River Delta.

Project hardcore configuration
The first phase of the B area of the CMG Yangtze River Delta Wuhu Jiujiang Data Center project, which started construction this time, is invested by CMG and constructed by CCSIC, with a total investment of 337 million yuan and a total construction area of 61900 square meters. It is expected to be completed and put into use in August 2027. The project is located in Jiujiang District, Wuhu City, and is equipped with two computer room buildings, two oil engine backup platforms, a 110KV dedicated substation, and a complete set of ancillary facilities. It is highly compatible with high-density GPU cluster operation and can fully meet the computing power needs of AI large model training and inference.
Positioning industry innovation
This project abandons the traditional data center storage based construction model and focuses on AI computing power services. It adopts a hybrid deployment of high-power and general-purpose computing power racks, which can support diverse scenarios such as AI computing power inference, flexible computing power scheduling, and enterprise digital transformation. The project will form a contiguous computing power cluster with existing areas, improve China Mobile's overall computing power layout in the Yangtze River Delta, and comply with the new trend of operator computing power industrialization and large-scale production.

Empowering regional development
As the core support of the digital Jianghuai construction, the project's implementation effectively fills the gap of high-power computing power in the Wanjiang region, relying on local clean energy and location advantages to attract upstream and downstream industries such as artificial intelligence and intelligent manufacturing to gather.
