On July 14, 2026, Guangzhou Port and Chengdu Inland Port were put into operation at Chengdu International Railway Port. The model of Chengdu customs declaration, Nansha sea going, and one-stop delivery has been fully implemented, resulting in a direct reduction of about 20% in the comprehensive logistics cost of western inland goods and an increase of over 30% in the overall delivery time.

Same Port, Same Price, Inland Port Transformation
After the listing of Guangzhou Port and Chengdu Inland Port, a new integrated operation model of "inland port+seaport" has been established, which includes three service mechanisms: same port and same price, linkage clearance, and seamless connection. Chengdu and surrounding enterprises can enjoy the same port fee standards as Nansha Port. Through mutual recognition of data between the two ports, local customs declaration and Nansha sea departure can be achieved, completely solving the pain points of multiple loading and unloading during long-distance transit.
The Chengdu Nansha Port sea rail intermodal special line will be upgraded synchronously. The railway transportation distance exceeds 2200 kilometers, and the 40 foot heavy container achieves stable operation of scheduled trains. The transportation time has been reduced from 4 to 5 days in the past to 2 to 3 days directly to Nansha Port Area. The train capacity has been expanded from three trips per week to daily operations. According to calculations, railway transportation can improve the overall efficiency by more than 30% compared to traditional road transportation, and reduce comprehensive logistics costs by about 20%.
Linkage between two strategic sectors
This cooperation promotes the logistics linkage and industrial synergy between the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area and the Chengdu Chongqing Economic Circle, two national strategic regions. At present, the export goods of the channel cover ten major categories, including mechanical equipment accessories, electronic appliances, chemical raw materials, medical and health products, textiles, furniture and building materials, with over 90 product names. The routes reach more than 90 key ports worldwide, covering more than 60 countries and regions. Keywords: logistics trade, inland ports

Chengdu International Railway Port has previously operated Chengdu Shenzhen Hong Kong scheduled trains, with a cumulative total of over 68 trips per year and a year-on-year increase of about 33 times in freight volume. The landing of Guangzhou Port and Chengdu Inland Port further strengthens the land sea intermodal network connecting the southwest inland to the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, adding another cost-effective channel for Sichuan goods to go abroad.Editor/Cheng Liting
