Kimi K3 natively supports visual understanding and has a 1 million word contextual window. The parameter scale exceeds DeepSeek V4's 1.6 trillion and Wenxin Big Model 5.0's 2.4 trillion. The Dark Side of the Moon team revealed that K3 is built on their self-developed KDA hybrid linear attention mechanism and attention residual technology. Out of 896 experts, 16 tokens are activated per token, resulting in an overall expansion efficiency improvement of about 2.5 times compared to the previous generation.

The evaluation data provides a more direct response. Among the models tested, K3's overall intelligence level is second only to Claude Fable 5 and GPT-5.6 Sol, and it topped the Arena AI front-end programming chart with 1679 points, surpassing Claude Fable 5. In software engineering scenarios, K3 can iteratively determine the next direction by combining source code, rendering results, and test feedback.
