On July 29, 2026, the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan held formal talks with a delegation from the Chinese real estate industry. This handshake spanning thousands of kilometers not only concerns glass curtain walls and reinforced concrete, but also reflects an industrial transformation brewing in the Central Asian building materials market. When Chinese construction companies enter Uzbekistan with technology, capital, and industry chain experience, the urban skyline on this ancient land is quietly undergoing changes.

Ukraine opens its doors and unleashes investment policy dividends

The delegation visiting Ukraine this time is led by Zhang Xu, Vice President of the Industry Cooperation Branch of the China Real Estate Industry Association, and its members include enterprises in multiple sub fields such as construction and real estate, glass manufacturing, door and window systems, and interior design. During the meeting, the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan highlighted the local investment environment, development of the building materials industry, and export potential. Both sides had in-depth exchanges on joint investment projects, industrial cooperation models, etc. The Ukrainian side clearly expressed its welcome for Chinese enterprises to deeply participate in its building materials manufacturing and real estate development process, and is willing to provide policy support and convenient conditions for the landing of foreign investment projects.

The demand for building materials is booming, and the layout of Chinese enterprises is timely

In recent years, Uzbekistan has continued to promote infrastructure construction, urban renewal, and housing development, with a growing demand for building materials, real estate, and supporting industries. At the same time, the local government actively attracts foreign investment to participate in the development of the manufacturing industry, hoping to leverage international capital to enhance the competitiveness of the local building materials industry and expand product exports. The enterprises participating in the inspection this time cover the glass manufacturing, door and window systems, interior design and other industrial chain links, reflecting that cooperation is extending from traditional engineering contracting to building materials manufacturing and industrial supporting. From the urban complexes in Tashkent to the development of new districts in Samarkand, Uzbekistan's construction market is unleashing a strong demand for building materials procurement, providing a vast market space for Chinese enterprises. From negotiation to implementation, industrial synergy is expected to deepen

After the meeting, both parties agreed to continue promoting the development of investment initiatives and accelerate the implementation of projects with development prospects. This means that China Ukraine cooperation will further shift from project negotiations to actual investment. With the continuous optimization of investment environment, improvement of industrial parks and infrastructure construction in Uzbekistan, investment opportunities for Chinese enterprises in the fields of building materials, real estate development, and related manufacturing will further increase. In the future, the cooperation between the two sides is expected to drive the localization of building materials manufacturing, industrial chain coordination, and regional market expansion, providing new growth space for Chinese enterprises to deeply cultivate the Central Asian market.
