Recently, a 500MW centralized photovoltaic power station is about to break ground in the vast desert of the Qamiwala Al Wafi region in Oman. On this day, Shanxi Installation Group Co., Ltd. officially signed the contract for the Oman Camille Phase I 500MW Photovoltaic Power Station project, successfully winning an EPC general contract worth approximately 1.5 billion yuan. From Shanxi, China to Oman in the Middle East, a provincial-level installation enterprise has opened the door to the new energy market in the Middle East with its professional strength, writing a new footnote for China's photovoltaic EPC to go global.

Zero breakthrough in the Middle East market
This project is the first large-scale new energy project installed by Shanxi in the Middle East market, developed and constructed by a consortium led by EDF Power Solutions. According to the EPC agreement, Shanxi Installation will be fully responsible for the entire construction process of the project, covering all aspects such as overall engineering design, equipment and material procurement, processing and manufacturing, transportation and entry, construction and installation, grid connection and commissioning, and project commissioning and delivery. After the project is completed and put into operation, the enterprise will also provide operation and maintenance services for a period of two and a half years. The successful signing of this project marks a crucial step for Shanxi's installation in the field of overseas new energy engineering contracting.

Assist Oman in its energy transformation
This centralized photovoltaic power station is located in the Camilla Al Wafi region of Oman. The electricity generated by the project will be purchased by the Oman Electricity and Water Procurement Company and integrated into the Oman National Grid. After the project is fully operational, this 500MW photovoltaic power station will continue to supply clean electricity to the Oman power grid. On the one hand, it can effectively increase the local installed capacity of renewable energy, optimize the power supply structure, and strengthen the long-term energy security guarantee capability of the region; On the other hand, it can help Oman reduce its dependence on traditional fossil fuel power generation, steadily promote low-carbon transformation and energy structure upgrading goals, and provide strong support for Oman's energy diversification strategy in its 2030 vision. Photovoltaic going global accelerates further
The successful signing of the contract for Shanxi installation not only demonstrates the comprehensive strength of the enterprise in the EPC field of large-scale photovoltaic power plants, but also reflects the firm pace of China's new energy engineering construction force to enter the global market. From full chain control of design, procurement, and construction to long-term service of grid connected operation and maintenance, Chinese enterprises are winning the trust of international clients with their engineering capabilities throughout the entire lifecycle. With the acceleration of the global energy transition process, the bidding volume for photovoltaic power generation projects in the Middle East continues to increase. Shanxi's installation in Oman has accumulated valuable performance and experience for enterprises to further cultivate the new energy market in the Middle East, and also provides a successful example for more Chinese photovoltaic EPC enterprises to explore overseas markets.Editor/Gao Xue
