The cranes at Yangpu Port are loading ships, the blueprint for Sanya's new airport has been laid out, and the expansion project of Haikou's circular high-speed railway station is about to start.

In the first year of the 15th Five Year Plan, Hainan has launched 98 major transportation hub projects in one go. Four aviation hubs, 74 shipping hubs, and 20 comprehensive transportation hubs - this combination of sea, land, and air targets one direction: to connect the two branches of the Free Trade Port.

74 shipping projects support the new land sea corridor in the western region

Shipping is the main backbone of this system. During the 15th Five Year Plan period, Hainan will focus on building an international shipping hub for the western land sea new channel, promoting 41 terminal projects, 24 channel breakwater projects, and 9 anchorage projects. Yangpu Port is the absolute protagonist - Continuing to build the Yangpu Port 100000 ton public grain and oil terminal, constructing the Yangpu Regional International Container Hub Port Expansion Project (Phase II), and planning the second phase of the Yangpu Port Bay Bottom Operation Area 100000 ton public grain and oil terminal project.

Haikou Port is accelerating its transformation and promoting the adjustment of the functional structure of Xiuying and Macun Port areas. The simultaneous promotion of Basuo Port, Qinglan Port, and Ledong Port: the 50000 ton liquid chemical terminal project in the Luodaihe Port area of Basuo Port, the upgrading and renovation of the aerospace industry supporting infrastructure in Qinglan Port, and the first phase project of Ledong Port have all been included in the construction list. The container throughput of Yangpu Port has increased from 1.02 million TEUs in the early 14th Five Year Plan period to 3.1 million TEUs, an increase of 204%. By 2030, Hainan aims to have 110 berths of 10000 tons or above in the province, with a comprehensive throughput capacity of 360 million tons, and container throughput moving towards tens of millions.

Sanya New Airport takes the lead

The sky is also expanding. Plan to construct Sanya New Airport, Meilan Airport Phase III expansion, Dongfang Airport, and Danzhou Airport, forming a one main, two branch, one cargo system with Haikou Meilan as the main hub, Sanya Phoenix as the secondary hub, Qionghai Boao and Danzhou as branch lines, and Dongfang as the cargo airport.

In terms of railways, we will accelerate the construction of six railway passenger hubs, build the Zhanhai High speed Railway Haikou North Station, construct the Haikou East Station and Meilan Airport Station expansion of the Huandao High speed Railway, plan the expansion of Yazhou Station and TOD projects such as Haitangwan Station and Sanya Station. Simultaneously promote the construction of two railway freight hubs, including the Haikou South Level 1 Railway Logistics Base and the Yangpu Level 2 Railway Logistics Base. Keywords: Huandao High speed Railway, Freight Hub

By 2030, the passenger guarantee capacity of Hainan Transport Airport aims to reach 72.6 million people, with 200 aviation cities and 100 stable container shipping routes. As the berths of Yangpu Port move towards millions of TEUs, and the runway of Sanya New Airport begins to be paved, the transportation hub of Hainan Free Trade Port is transforming from planning documents to reinforced concrete.Editor/Cheng Liting
