On August 8, 2026, the 500000 kW guaranteed wind power+grid type energy storage demonstration project, developed by Wolong New Energy Investment under Wolong Group and constructed and operated by Shunfeng New Energy (Damaoqi) Co., Ltd., successfully connected to the 500kV Kailinhe Substation of the Mengxi Power Grid, marking the first batch of grid type wind storage integration pilot projects in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region officially entering a new stage of grid connected operation. It is a landmark achievement of Wolong Group's deep cultivation of the Inner Mongolia new energy market and implementation of the national "dual carbon" strategy.

As a benchmark project for guaranteed new energy at the autonomous region level, the total installed capacity of the project is 500MW, with a layout of 50 10MW large capacity wind turbines (including 5 cutting-edge grid type wind turbines), synchronized with a 220kV booster station and a 125MW/250MWh Wolong self-developed grid type lithium iron phosphate energy storage system. Relying on the full industry chain technology accumulation of Wolong Group, the project adopts a wind storage collaborative network control scheme, which can actively participate in power grid frequency and voltage regulation, and control the transmission line loss to within 3.8%, significantly better than the industry average, achieving efficient wind energy transmission and bidirectional empowerment of power grid stability.

Based on the integrated layout of "wind solar hydrogen storage", Wolong Group continues to implement demonstration projects with Inner Mongolia as the core position. After the large-scale independent energy storage project of Weijun in Tuyou Banner is connected to the grid, this Shunfeng grid type wind storage project adds another technical model. Next, Shunfeng New Energy will accelerate the full capacity grid connection acceptance, continuously polish the innovative operation mode of grid structured wind and solar energy storage power stations, and provide replicable and promotable Wolong solutions for high proportion new energy regions across the country.Editor/Yang Meiling
