Capital depth entering the market
On August 12, 2026, the Coalburn 1 energy storage power station developed by CIP in Denmark was put into commercial operation in South Lanarkshire, Scotland, and the project was directly connected to the UK power grid. The energy storage system is supplied by Artus Energy Storage e-Storage, which undertakes equipment supply for three energy storage projects in Scotland. The project will commence in November 2023, and AXAIM Alts will acquire 50% equity in April 2025, completing its first layout of energy storage assets in the UK. Innovative revenue model
The project relies on multi-level long-term contracts to stabilize cash flow, and has signed a 10-year power trading optimization agreement with SSE. A 15 year contract has been signed for 300MW in the capacity market, and a 7-year contract has been signed for 75MW. This is the first production project of CIP Scotland's three energy storage projects, with a total scale of 1.5GW/3GWh.
