The Taida Industrial Park in the Suhena Industrial Zone of the Suez Canal Economic Zone in Egypt has officially started construction and laid the foundation for the Sunshine Energy Storage Manufacturing Project. The project has a total investment of 50 million US dollars and will build a specialized energy storage system assembly and manufacturing factory, focusing on serving the local market in Egypt and radiating the development of new energy industries in the Middle East and Africa. The Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone, key officials from the Egyptian Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Ministry of Defense Production, and Ministry of Industry attended the groundbreaking ceremony. This is a vivid practice of China's technology plus Egypt's manufacturing plus regional export innovation cooperation model, adding another benchmark for China Egypt new energy industry cooperation.

The energy storage factory has officially laid the foundation

The Sunshine Energy Energy Storage Manufacturing Project has a total investment of 50 million US dollars and will build a specialized energy storage system assembly and manufacturing factory, focusing on serving the local market in Egypt and radiating the development of new energy industries in the Middle East and Africa. After the completion of the project, it will create over a hundred job opportunities for the local area, systematically attract and cultivate local production and technical talents in Egypt, and lay a solid talent foundation for the high-quality development of Egypt's new energy industry. Mustafa Shehong, Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone, stated that the project is an important component of Egypt's new energy industry system and will effectively promote the localization layout of the energy storage industry, providing solid industrial support for the large-scale implementation of renewable energy in Egypt. This project will become the first specialized energy storage system manufacturing factory in the Middle East and Africa region.

Multiple parties jointly promote local manufacturing

Egyptian Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mahmoud Esmat stated that the project is highly in line with Egypt's national strategy for the development of new energy, and conforms to the trend of localized manufacturing of renewable energy equipment and energy storage systems. It will effectively enhance Egypt's ability to independently manufacture new energy equipment, promote the landing and local absorption of advanced energy storage technologies, and help Egypt build a regional hub for the production and export of new energy equipment. The Minister of State for Defense Production of Egypt stated that the project is an important practice for Egypt to promote green economic transformation, and through deepening strategic cooperation with international leading new energy enterprises, it can sustainably enhance the technological level of local manufacturing industry. The Egyptian Minister of Industry pointed out that the project will promote the extension of the new energy industry from basic energy production to high value-added equipment manufacturing, technology research and development, and regional exports. Radiating the Middle East and African markets

Meng Linglai, Vice President of Sunshine Energy Group, stated that in the future, we will continue to deeply cultivate the Egyptian market, fully rely on Egypt's core location advantages of connecting Africa, Arab countries, and Europe, and leverage the mature industrial supporting facilities and port logistics system of the Suez Canal Economic Zone to continuously expand the new energy markets in the Middle East and Africa. The project will be deeply linked with national level renewable energy strategic projects such as Egypt's Energy Valley, forming a coordinated pattern of new energy generation, energy storage matching, power grid application, and local manufacturing throughout the entire chain. China exports mature new energy technologies, manufacturing processes, and industrial chain resources, while Egypt leverages its location, market, policy, and labor advantages to jointly build a new energy industry base based in Egypt, radiating to North Africa, and facing the Middle East and Africa, providing a replicable and promotable cooperation paradigm for the coordinated development of green energy between China and Africa.Editor/Gao Xue
