On the morning of September 3, 2026, in Yibin Energy Storage Industrial Park, the low engine sound came from far to near. Four trucks loaded with core production equipment slowly drove into Pengcheng Infinite's manufacturing base in Yibin, Sichuan. The wheels rolled over the brand new factory road and stopped steadily at the entrance of the workshop. For this new energy enterprise, which has been established for less than three years, this is a significant milestone - the land beneath our feet has just bid farewell to the dusty infrastructure construction period and officially entered the critical period of equipment installation and production line debugging.

Four vehicles enter the site and embark on a new journey

The equipment entering the factory is just a new starting point. According to Wu Guidong, Deputy General Manager of Pengcheng Infinite, the next step will be to collaborate with equipment manufacturers and installation teams to conduct equipment unboxing acceptance, installation in place, and single machine debugging as soon as possible. Then, we will gradually promote the linkage debugging of the entire production line, while also promoting practical training for technical personnel, quality system construction, and supply chain support implementation.

The Pengcheng Infinite Yibin manufacturing base has a total investment of approximately 4.8 billion yuan and plans to produce 54GWh of energy storage batteries annually. The core focus is on the new generation of high-capacity energy storage batteries with 500+Ah, which have multiple advantages such as high energy density, long cycle life, and high safety performance. They can be widely adapted to various large-scale energy storage application scenarios. Among them, 587Ah high-capacity energy storage dedicated battery cells are the flagship products of the base. The first phase of the project is expected to achieve trial production by the end of 2026. After completion, an automated and digital energy storage cell manufacturing factory will be built, relying on an intelligent production system to achieve full traceability of the production process. Once put into operation, it can effectively fill the regional gap in high-end energy storage cell production capacity.

Three party signing strong chain

On the same day, Pengcheng Infinite signed a tripartite strategic cooperation agreement with RelyEZ Energy Storage and Xiangyu New Energy. Yuanxin Energy Storage is an energy storage system integrator that covers the entire lifecycle of energy storage projects. With a shipment volume of approximately 5.4 GWh by 2025, it ranks among the top in the global energy storage system market and is currently striving for listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange; Xiangyu Energy is deeply committed to developing comprehensive low-carbon energy solutions.

The three parties will focus on resource sharing, technological interoperability, and complementary advantages, accelerate the scenario verification and iterative upgrading of cutting-edge energy storage technologies, innovative products, and customized solutions, continuously optimize energy storage full chain solutions, and provide efficient, safe, and highly adaptable one-stop energy storage services for the market. Signing the contract means that the capabilities of the three parties in battery cell manufacturing, system integration, and comprehensive energy services are linked together, and the collaborative layout of the industrial chain is officially launched.

Yibin Energy Storage Adding Core Energy

As the first energy storage cell project introduced by Yibin Energy Storage Industrial Park, the landing of Pengcheng Infinite fills the key gap in the park where there are integrated and missing cells. Previously, the park had gathered more than 20 enterprises including CRRC Zhuzhou Institute, Times New Materials, and Xi'an Xinai, and the supporting box and PCS links continued to be improved, but the battery cells have always relied on external supply. After the project is put into operation, integrated enterprises can achieve nearby matching of battery cells in the park, significantly reducing transportation and response costs. According to the plan, the output value of Yibin Energy Storage Industrial Park will exceed 10 billion yuan in 2026 and 30 billion yuan in 2030.

For Pengcheng Infinite, the Yibin base is its first manufacturing base in the southwest and the third manufacturing base after Suzhou and Xining in Qinghai. This enterprise, founded in November 2023 and headquartered in Shenzhen, is the first domestic energy storage battery research and manufacturing enterprise to obtain both Ningde Times technology and after-sales service authorization.
