LISINER Commissions Two Energy Storage Projects in the Czech Republic

As Europe’s power-market reforms continue and renewable generation expands, demand is growing for faster-response and longer-duration energy storage resources. Against this backdrop, LISINER has commissioned two energy storage projects in the Czech Republic with a combined capacity of 12.5 MW / 45 MWh, supporting greater flexibility and renewable energy integration.

5 MW/20 MWh Microgrid Project

Located at Longitude 49.56°, Latitude 15.95°, the 5 MW / 20 MWh microgrid project is designed to enhance local supply reliability and energy self-sufficiency. The microgrid can operate as a relatively independent and controllable system, switching between grid-connected and off-grid modes to serve nearby loads.

The project uses LISINER’s TRITON containerized energy storage system. While the product’s standard charge/discharge rate is ≤0.5P, the project operates at 0.25P, providing a four-hour charge/discharge duration. This longer-duration configuration supports continuous regulation and stable energy output. The system operates within 0–60°C during charging and −20–60°C during discharging.

7.5 MW / 25 MWh C&I Energy Storage Project

The 7.5 MW / 25 MWh project is located at Pamětice [582191], Parcelní číslo: 905, at Longitude 50.04°, Latitude 15.78°.

Designed to coordinate with distributed energy resources such as solar PV, the system supports C&I energy management by charging during off-peak periods and discharging during peak demand. This helps optimize on-site loads, reduce electricity costs and increase the share of locally generated renewable power consumed on site.

As Czech market rules continue to evolve, energy storage is expanding beyond traditional peak-valley shifting toward broader applications including demand response and distributed energy optimization.

Development, Ownership and Financing

Both projects are developed and owned by ENVI ENERGO a.s., with non-recourse financing provided by Česká spořitelna.

Together, the two projects demonstrate LISINER’s capabilities in energy storage system integration and engineering delivery, while providing further experience for its continued development in the European market.Editor/Gong Ziwei
