On the afternoon of September 7, 2026, Vice President Han Zheng met with Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Mesarovi ć, who was attending the 26th China International Fair for Investment and Trade in Xiamen, Fujian.

Han Zheng stated that 2026 marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the China Serbia comprehensive strategic partnership. In recent years, under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China Serbia relations have achieved a leapfrog development.   China is willing to work with Serbia to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, continuously deepen political mutual trust, make good use of the preferential arrangements in the bilateral free trade agreement, deepen cooperation in areas such as economy, trade, investment, infrastructure, and emerging industries, encourage Chinese enterprises to invest and develop in Serbia, and promote the further development of friendly cooperation between China and Serbia.

Mesarovich expressed that Serbia cherishes the mutual trust between Serbia's middle and high-level officials, reaffirms its adherence to the One China policy, appreciates China's strong support for Serbia's national construction, and is willing to strengthen development strategy docking with China, continuously deepen cooperation in various fields, and benefit the people of both countries.Editor/Min Jing
