Representatives from various economies in the Asia Pacific region gathered in Beijing to discuss innovative practices in clean energy and tackle challenges in energy transition. At the meeting, the Asia Pacific Clean Energy Training Academy was officially unveiled, which will continue to cultivate new energy professionals for the Asia Pacific region and deepen regional energy multilateral cooperation.
On September 9, 2026, the APEC Clean Energy Innovation Practice Symposium was held in Beijing, and Wang Jianbo, Deputy Director of the National Energy Administration of China, attended and delivered a speech. In 2026, China will host APEC and focus on building an Asia Pacific energy community that is inclusive, innovative, and collaborative. Wang Jianbo proposed three cooperation initiatives to build a regional multilateral capacity building platform.
At the meeting, China National Energy Group established the Asia Pacific Clean Energy Training Institute, promising to provide 1000 clean energy training opportunities for APEC economies in the next decade. Multi country institutions and representatives shared energy transition cases, and this seminar also laid the foundation for the 16th APEC Energy Ministers' Meeting, consolidating the foundation of Asia Pacific energy coordinated development.Editor/Min Jing
