The metering meter of the oil pipeline at Alashankou Port has just skipped the 7.6 million ton mark, and the full line operation data of Kazakhstan National Oil Transport Company for the first 8 months of 2026 has been officially released. The growth curves of the transportation volume of multiple cross-border oil lines are outlining a new flow pattern of the Central Asian oil transportation network.
From January to August 2026, the total oil transportation and transfer volume of KazTransOil reached 31.9 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 4%. The growth rate of transportation volume on multiple core trunk lines far exceeded the industry average, and the vitality of the Central Asian cross-border energy channel is continuing to be released.

Multi trunk line transportation volume achieves year-on-year growth across the entire line
In the first 8 months, the oil transportation volume of the KazTransOil mainline pipeline reached 30.6 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 4%, and the comprehensive cargo turnover reached 30.546 billion ton kilometers, a year-on-year increase of 2%. The domestic supply side has transported over 12 million tons of oil to local refining enterprises, including 4.316 million tons from Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant, 3.664 million tons from PetroKazakhstan Oil Products, and 3.567 million tons from Atyrau Refinery, ensuring stable operation of domestic refining capacity at full capacity.
In cross-border channels, the CPC-K system transportation volume of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium surged by 39% year-on-year to 3.1 million tons, the TON-2 oil pipeline transportation volume reached 8.2 million tons, an increase of 5% year-on-year, and the oil tanker loading capacity at Aktau Port increased by 6% year-on-year. All core routes achieved positive growth.
The resilience of the China Kazakhstan energy channel continues to strengthen
As the core trunk line of China Kazakhstan energy cooperation, the Atasu Alashankou pipeline has transported a total of 7.6 million tons of oil in the first 8 months, a year-on-year increase of 3%. Among them, Kazakhstan's domestic oil exports to China reached 863000 tons. Previously, KazTransOil announced plans to invest 25 billion tenge to expand the TON-2 oil pipeline, further breaking through the bottleneck of connecting domestic and foreign pipelines.

According to the latest statistics from the Central Asian Energy Agency in 2026, the multi-channel pattern of cross-border oil transportation in Kazakhstan has basically taken shape. The transportation capacity to China, the Caspian Sea coast, and the Black Sea direction has been synchronously improved, completely eliminating the transportation risk of a single channel. The stability of the entire regional energy logistics network has been greatly enhanced. Keywords: energy logistics network, oil transportation
Behind the 31.9 million tons of transportation volume, from the bouncing meters at Alashankou to the honking of oil tankers along the Caspian Sea coast, lies the unprecedented flow efficiency that the Central Asian oil transportation network is experiencing.Editor/Cheng Liting
