On September 15, 2026, at the construction site of the New Olympic Fusion Research and Development Center in Langfang Development Zone, the first shovel of soil fell steadily next to the foundation stone. The construction project of the "Helong-2" device covering an area of 120 acres has officially started, and the third-generation core experimental platform for private commercial fusion in China has entered the stage of physical engineering construction.

Clear definition of core engineering nodes

The project focuses on the construction of more than ten sets of hydrogen boron fusion core systems. The complete engineering design has been completed, and the vacuum chamber and Dewar sample process verification have been successfully passed. The manufacturing of core components has entered the production scheduling stage. According to the plan, the park will have the equipment entry conditions by the end of June 2027, and the installation and commissioning of the devices will be completed by the end of the same year, entering the experimental stage. The goal is to achieve the first power generation of hydrogen boron fusion by 2030.

The previously built "Xuanlong-50U" device has achieved an electronic temperature exceeding 100 million degrees Celsius by early 2026, and multiple core parameters are in the first tier of global spherical ring devices.

The commercialization path is steadily advancing

Xinao Fusion has currently formed an international R&D team of 300 people, with a cumulative R&D investment of over 4 billion yuan. After completing the Pre-A round of financing, the post investment valuation reached 10.6 billion yuan, making it the most valuable private fusion enterprise in China. Its spherical ring hydrogen boron route, with the characteristics of low neutron radiation and almost unlimited fuel reserves, significantly reduces the protection cost and fuel constraints of subsequent fusion power plants.
