The sunshine in Ashgabat is scorching in October. On October 5, 2026, a low-key meeting between representatives of two companies ended in this Central Asian capital known for its white marble buildings. At the moment when the signature pen fell, TRIUMPHER from Hangzhou, Zhejiang and OJAR AZIA, a private construction enterprise in Turkmenistan, officially became partners.

Shaking Hands in Ashgabat

According to a press release released by TMT Consulting Group in Turkmenistan on the same day, the two sides held business talks in Ashgabat and signed a memorandum of cooperation, covering three major areas: construction, steel structures, and engineering solutions.

The direction of the agreement is clear: to develop long-term cooperation and introduce advanced construction technology in Turkmenistan, OJAR AZIA is considering adopting TRIUMPHER's products, engineering solutions, and technical expertise. The talks also involve the specific application of modern steel structures and engineering technology, with the goal of improving the efficiency, reliability, and quality of construction projects. Both sides expressed their intention to further promote cooperation and explore the possibility of joint participation in potential construction and infrastructure projects in the country.

The confidence of Hangzhou Steel Structure

TRIUMPHER is located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. It was established in 1998 and specializes in the design, manufacturing, and installation of steel structures, with an annual production capacity of over 130000 tons. Our products cover steel structure buildings, high-rise and multi story structures, trusses, warehouses, and industrial facility steel structures.

The overseas experience is its confidence in this landing. In 2008, the group undertook the steel structure project of Nad Al Sheba Racecourse and its garage in Dubai, starting from this point to explore the international market. The products were gradually sold to Australia, the Middle East and other places. In China, a number of iconic projects with steel structures as the main body, such as the new CCTV station, Hangzhou Bay Bridge, Hangzhou East Railway Station, Hangzhou Asian Games e-sports venue, and Hangzhou International Expo Center Phase II, have left the mark of this enterprise. At present, it is still active in the construction bidding market in China.

The Infrastructure Gap in Central Asia

OJAR AZIA was founded in 2008 and is a privately-owned construction company that has grown up in Turkmenistan. Its business covers road construction, residential and industrial development, transportation logistics, public infrastructure, building materials production, and equipment and transportation services. According to its website, the company has completed over 40 projects, built more than 500 kilometers of roads, and employed over 800 people.

At present, this company is advancing flour processing complex, multi-functional livestock complex, as well as hotel complex and roadside facilities projects located in Mary and Shelhetabat, and has listed the Shelash Mary Shelhetabat highway as a key infrastructure project. This 450 kilometer long passage passes through the provinces of Ahar and Murray, and is regarded as a key link connecting the north-south, lapis lazuli, and east-west international transportation corridors. It has appeared on the list of recommended international business and investment activities multiple times.

The popularity of architecture in Turkmenistan is on the rise. By 2025, the country plans to invest over 3.9 billion manats, approximately 1.114 billion US dollars, in the construction sector to implement major infrastructure projects, renovate industrial facilities, and promote modern technology. Alcadada Smart New City, Ashgabat Smart City Renovation, and the modernization of multiple highways and railways are being carried out simultaneously. Beyond natural gas as a ballast stone, non resource cooperation is becoming a new growth point for China and Turkey; The demand for local building materials and construction machinery is rigid, while the local supply is limited. For TRIUMPHER, this memo is not the end point, but a probe into the water temperature. From the Dubai Racecourse to the negotiating table in Ashgabat, China's steel structure's path to the sea is extending from the Middle East to Central Asia.Editor/Yang Meiling
