From drawings to grid connection, a gas turbine power station takes shape step by step in the wilderness of Uzbekistan. With the successful reverse power transmission, a continuous stream of electricity is about to be injected into the local power grid, bringing light to thousands of households and ensuring the stable implementation of China's clean energy solutions on the land of Central Asia.

Reverse power once

CEEC's Uzbekistan Jizak gas turbine project has recently achieved successful reverse power transmission. The power station is located in Sharovlahi Township, Halkabad County, Jizak Region, and has officially entered the production sprint stage. The project adopts a one to one configuration, with one gas turbine paired with one steam turbine and one waste heat boiler arranged in a multi axis configuration. The 385 MW single cycle gas turbine provides strong power, while the 183.5 MW twin cylinder steam turbine deeply recovers energy, allowing every minute of energy to be fully utilized. Reverse power transmission is a crucial step before the unit is connected to the grid, testing the hard work of wiring, protection, and commissioning. As the instructions were issued, the electrical energy was smoothly sent in reverse to the unit, and all parameters were met at once. Applause erupted on site. Behind this is the construction team working day and night in a foreign land, polishing complex processes into smooth procedures, paving the way for the complete machine start-up and formal grid connection.

Lighting up millions of homes

After the completion of the project, the annual power generation is expected to reach 3.7 billion kilowatt hours, which can meet the electricity needs of millions of households and reduce carbon emissions by about 500000 tons per year. For Uzbekistan, this is not only the addition of a new power plant, but also a significant optimization of the regional energy structure, providing stable electricity for industrial development and allowing more households to light up steadily in the hot summer and cold winter. CEEC has successfully sowed the seeds of clean electricity on the land of Central Asia, writing a vivid footnote to China Ukraine energy cooperation. Keywords: Reverse power transmission, Jizak gas turbine project

From successful reverse power transmission to complete grid connection, the Jizak gas turbine is gradually lighting up the night sky of Uzbekistan. Speed and craftsmanship go hand in hand, and China's dream of building electricity is taking root and sprouting on this land.Editor/Min Jing
