The latest progress of the G60 Shanghai Kunming Expressway (from Tingfeng Hub to Shenshi Hub on the Shanghai Hangzhou Expressway) renovation and expansion project has attracted widespread attention. This project has been included in the reserve project of the 14th Five Year Plan of the Ministry of Transport, and is also one of the key research projects of the 14th Five Year Plan for the comprehensive development of transportation in Zhejiang Province.
The project is being promoted by Jiaxing Traffic Engineering Construction Management Service Center as the tenderer, and the construction funds will be raised through self financing and bank loans. At present, the project has initiated preliminary thematic consultation and public bidding, and adopts a post qualification review method.
The G60 Shanghai Kunming Expressway Zhejiang section is an important transportation artery in the Hangzhou Bay area, connecting the Shanghai metropolitan area and the Hangzhou metropolitan area. The starting point of its Zhejiang section is located at the junction of Zhejiang and Shanghai, passing through Jiashan County, Nanhu District, Xiuzhou District, Tongxiang City and Haining City, and finally connecting with the Hangzhou Ring Expressway and the urban section of the Shanghai Hangzhou Expressway at the Shenshi Hub, with a total length of about 103 kilometers.
The starting point of this renovation and expansion project is the Zhejiang Shanghai provincial border (marker K65+500), and the overall route runs northeast to southwest, basically along the existing expressway (including the southward expansion of Tongxiang section), passing through Jiashan County, Nanhu District, Xiuzhou District, Tongxiang City and Haining City to the south, and ending at the Shenshi Hub in Haining City (marker K144+753), with a total length of about 79.753 kilometers. There are a total of 6 hubs along the project route, including Tingfeng Hub, Buyun Hub, Jiaxing Hub, Jiaxing No.2 Hub, Qitang Hub, and Shenshi Hub; There are 6 general interchanges, namely Jiashan Interchange, Jiaxing Interchange, Wangdian Interchange, Tudian Interchange, Tongxiang Interchange, and Chang'an Interchange; And plan two service areas, namely Jiaxing Service Area and Chang'an Service Area.
The Zhejiang section of the G60 Shanghai Kunming Expressway was initially built in 1998 according to the two-way four lane standard, with a designed speed of 120 kilometers per hour. After the expansion and renovation was completed at the end of 2007, the section from the Zhejiang Shanghai provincial border to the Tingfeng hub was upgraded to a two-way six lane road with a roadbed width of 34 meters; The section from Tingfeng Hub to Shenshi Hub will be widened to a two-way eight lane road with a roadbed width of 41.5 meters. The preliminary feasibility study plan for this renovation and expansion project is proposed to be implemented according to a standard of no less than 12 lanes in both directions, and other technical indicators will strictly follow the relevant provisions of the "Technical Standards for Highway Engineering".
The implementation of this project will significantly improve the traffic capacity and transportation efficiency of the regional road network, providing strong transportation support for the coordinated development of the Hangzhou Bay Economic Belt and the two major metropolitan areas of Shanghai and Hangzhou.(This article is from the official website www.seetao.com of Jian Dao.
