SynVista, an internationally renowned provider of energy storage system solutions, officially announced on July 16, 2025 that it will invest in the construction of its first energy storage manufacturing base in Southeast Asia in Selangor, Malaysia. The project is expected to achieve an annual production capacity target of 5GWh by the end of 2025, and upon completion, it will become SynVista's core production base in Southeast Asia, providing important support for regional clean energy development.
To celebrate this strategic layout, SynVista held the "SynVista Energy Storage Lifecycle Summit Forum" on July 1, 2025 at the JW Marriott Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The forum was chaired by Sultan Sulaiman Shah Al Haji, a member of the Selangor royal family, and attended by representatives from the political and business sectors, including Deputy Director of the Malaysian Investment and Development Authority, Zarina Zanor, Chairman of the Malaysian Photovoltaic and Sustainable Energy Industry Association, Justin Sim, as well as SynVista Chairman Chen Shengjun and SynVista Malaysia Branch Executive Director Peter Pan.
SynVista Chairman Chen Shengjun said at the forum, "The establishment of the Selangor production base is an important milestone in the company's globalization strategy. Malaysia's superior innovation environment and policy support will help us build an internationally competitive energy storage manufacturing center and promote the transformation of the energy structure in Southeast AsiaIt is reported that the production base will adopt advanced battery energy storage technology and mainly produce core components of large-scale energy storage systems. After the completion of the project, it will not only improve the regional energy storage industry chain and supply chain, but also create a large number of high-quality job opportunities, driving local economic development.
Following the event in Malaysia, SynVista held the "Energy Storage Lifecycle Seminar" in Manila, Philippines on July 3rd. Guests including Ping Mendoza, Chairman of the Philippine Photovoltaic and Energy Storage Alliance, and Edward V. Neri, Acting Director of the Solar Energy Management Division of the Philippine Department of Energy's Renewable Energy Management Bureau, attended the meeting to discuss the development path of battery energy storage in the Philippine energy system.This series of events is co organized by HD Solar and has received active participation from industry experts including Dr. Aznan Azrai Arifin, Chief Strategy Officer of the Malaysian National Energy Corporation Research Institute, Guo Aimi, International Sales Director of HD Solar, Xiao Yongshan, Energy Storage Business Leader of DNV Asia Pacific, and Joey Bangsiu, Energy Storage Business Leader of DNV Philippines.
The landing of SynVista's production base in Selangor marks a new stage in the development of energy storage manufacturing in Southeast Asia. This project will significantly enhance the localized supply capacity of regional energy storage products, reduce the construction cost of clean energy projects, and accelerate the achievement of carbon neutrality goals in Southeast Asian countries.
