The situation in the Middle East has become turbulent again. The foreign ministers of eight countries of Türkiye, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates jointly made a statement to the outside world. They made clear their positions on Israel's rejection of the Gaza peace plan, called for the implementation of the two country plan, and sent an important signal for the promotion of peace in the local war.

Condemn Israel's stance

The foreign ministers of the eight countries jointly pointed out that Israel's rejection of the Gaza peace plan undermines collective efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace, and Israel needs to take corresponding responsibility for obstructing the peace process. The statement calls for the immediate and comprehensive implementation of the peace plan to alleviate the severe humanitarian situation in Gaza and create conditions for local reconstruction and recovery. At the same time, it hopes that the United States will actively intervene and urge Israel to comply with relevant commitments. Keywords: Gaza peace plan, Israeli Palestinian situation

Supporting Ba Jianguo's demands

The statement reiterates support for Palestinian national self-determination and state building, and opposes all actions that hinder the establishment of Palestinian state building. Only by implementing the two-state solution and establishing an independent sovereign state with East Jerusalem as its capital based on the 1967 borders can the region achieve true and lasting peace, and any related obstruction will directly damage the prospects for regional security.Editor/Min Jing
