On September 10, 2026, the core ground engineering of Uganda's Cuiniao Oilfield, a key project of China Africa energy cooperation, passed the mechanical completion acceptance, marking the completion of Uganda's first commercial oilfield construction and entering the preparation stage for production.
After the oil field is put into operation, it will help Uganda officially enter the ranks of oil producing countries, and the peak daily production of crude oil in the Emerald Bird oil field will reach 40000 barrels.
