Within four months, an energy storage production line will grow on an empty land - locking the uncertainty of wind and solar power into standardized boxes, giving Northwest's green power a deliverable, dispatchable, and deployable shape.

Recently, the annual production of 10000 fully integrated energy storage and data equipment manufacturing projects by Inner Mongolia CIMC New Energy Equipment Co., Ltd. has been successfully completed and put into operation in Kundulun District, Baotou City.

Project Overview

The full name of the project is Inner Mongolia CIMC New Energy Equipment Co., Ltd.'s annual production of 10000 fully integrated energy storage and data equipment manufacturing project, located in Kundulun District, Baotou, and invested and built by CIMC Container Group, a subsidiary of CIMC Group. This is the first new energy equipment manufacturing and delivery core platform of CIMC Group in Northwest China, and also the fifth largest production base of CIMC's energy storage business.

The project plans to produce 10000 units of fully integrated energy storage equipment annually, and the project will be implemented in two phases. The first phase focuses on developing energy storage equipment business, establishing four complete systems including box processing, system integration, testing and delivery, and digital management, which can achieve an annual delivery scale of 10000 sets of energy storage box compartments and 15GWh energy storage systems. The second phase of the project is expected to be fully completed by 2027, and the overall production capacity will double after it is put into operation, with the ability to manufacture energy storage compartments throughout the entire process.

The enterprise focuses on the research and development, production, system integration, and full lifecycle operation and maintenance services of energy storage enclosures, semi integrated and fully integrated energy storage equipment, to support the high-quality development of the new energy industry in North China and Northwest China. The project is located in Kundulun District, relying on the advantageous local location and close to the Beijing Tibet Expressway and Baolan Railway, which can quickly cover areas with abundant scenic resources such as Inner Mongolia, Gansu, and Xinjiang. After the project reaches full capacity, it will enhance the local supporting level of energy storage equipment in Baotou and the northwest region, shorten product delivery cycles, reduce industrial costs, and promote the coordinated development of equipment manufacturing, logistics, and modern service industries.

Efficient Promotion

The project took only 4 months from company registration to completion and production, with extremely high construction efficiency. May 16, 2026: Inner Mongolia CIMC New Energy Equipment Co., Ltd. completed registration and the project officially landed. May to September 2026: The project will commence construction. After four months of hard work, the first phase has built a standardized energy storage equipment production line, which can assemble, test, and deliver semi integrated energy storage equipment in batches. On September 16, 2026, the project was completed and put into operation in Kundulun District, Baotou, and the production celebration of CIMC Energy Storage Northwest Base was held simultaneously. The current phase has been officially put into operation, gradually releasing the delivery capacity of 10000 sets of energy storage box compartments and 15GWh energy storage systems per year.
